SWK 510 - Interventions I (3 cr.)

Introduces students to professional social work practice interventions, with a focus on bridging clinical and critical theory and practice. With an emphasis on the development of foundational practice knowledge and competence for work with individuals and families, this course focuses on: (1) engaging a client system in a relationship, (2) assessing the problem situation, (3) selecting appropriate interventions and evaluating their effectiveness.
Prerequisite(s): Student in the MSW program
Corequisite(s): SWK 515 and SWK 520
