SWK 450 - International Social Action and Policy Practice in a Global Context (3 cr.)

Focusing on international awareness, this course will explore theories of international social development and program planning and the role of social workers and human service practitioners in the global development context. Students will use an international perspective to explore globalization, global issues, and their impact on communities both internationally and locally. Simulated application of theories of assessment and development economics will be integrating concurrently with professional values and ethics in addressing relevant social issues and policies.
