THE 313 - World Puppetry (3 cr.) This course examines puppetry from a worldwide perspective to gain an understanding of the history and art of puppets and masks. Students will appreciate various cultural uses and development of puppets/masks, the cultural influence and exchange of this artform, and the subsequent impact of puppets/masks on modern theatre and film. Students will also design and create their own puppets and masks and will find their own expressionistic voices with this medium.
