INT 104 - Introduction to World Religions (3 cr.) An introductory survey course that investigates the emergence and transformation of major world religious traditions: Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Confucianism, Daoism, Shintoism, North American and Mesoamerican Indigenous traditions, concluding with New Religious Movements. Recognizing the influence of cultural diversity and geopolitical factors, these religious traditions provide students with an understanding why religion matters and contributes to the metamorphosis of human civilization.
