HIS 132 - Modern Global History (3 cr.) This course draws from the tradition of global, regional, and comparative history and exposes students to history from the macro-level. The course examines the social, cultural, political, and economic processes that connect and divide humanity starting roughly at 1500 (and in some cases 1300). The course takes significant account of European colonization of the Americas, the industrial revolution, and the expansion of European empire.
