GEL 273 - HAZWOPER: Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response (3 cr.)

This course meets the requirements of the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and EPA requirements for hazardous materials operations and emergency response.  The course leads to the 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate.  This certification is a job requirement for many entry-level positions in environmental and geologic consulting.  The initial certificate is good for one year, after which an annual 8-hr refresher course is required to maintain certification.  
Prerequisite(s): Senior standing.
