Successful agriculture production has been the driving force behind our growing from subsistence farming, through global famines and the “Green Revolution”, to modern day production. However, only a small percentage of our society grows their own food. We will investigate the basics of modern farming, visit small fruit and larger dairy operations, study food safety and impacts of agriculture all within the framework of sustainability.
