EDT 494 - Student Teaching (12 to 15 cr.)


Childhood Education candidates will demonstrate instructional skills and abilities by delivering whole and small group lessons.  The candidate will plan, implement, and assess the results of instruction delivered in grade 1-6 educational settings. The candidate will also participate in other duties that are typically performed by teachers.  Issues of personal growth and concerns related to education, democracy in education, culturally responsive instruction, technology, literacy, and effective instruction for all students, families, schools, and communities will be discussed in professional seminars.
Prerequisite(s): EDU 465  and EDU 475 ; major in B.S. Childhood Education or combined B.S./M.S.Ed.
