CHE 496 - Laboratory Teaching Experience I/II (1 to 3 cr.) Planning of a lesson, preparation of laboratory materials, chemical demonstrations, and expositions of laboratory protocols in conjunction with a laboratory instructor. Learning objective and valid assessment development. Formal written report for department and sponsor is required at the end of the experience describing how the course learning objectives were achieved. May be repeated once as CHE496: Teaching Experience II. Prerequisite(s): Junior standing or above; minimum GPA in major of 3.0; POI; permission of chair of the department.
