ART 306 - Digital Imaging (3 cr.) The objective of this course is to build basic knowledge in digital imaging. From this foundation the student should be able to proceed into more specific areas and gain specialized knowledge in future graphic design course work and in working independently. The course will provide basic knowledge of a raster-based image-editing software and encourages students to apply this knowledge for creative and aesthetic problem-solving. This class is also intended to confront challenges specific to graphic design, such as preparing imagery for print and online publishing. An emphasis is placed on creative thinking and personal expression.
