ART 139 - Western Art: Renaissance to Modern (3 cr.) This course surveys important developments in western art beginning around 1250 and continuing into the middle of the 20th century. It emphasizes the visual arts and architecture of western Europe, the United States, and Mexico. Emphasis is placed on painting, but sculpture, the graphic arts, and architecture are also discussed.
